Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
If you didn’t already know, I’m a Law graduate currently undertaking the Bar (Bar Professional Training Course) to qualify as a barrister. I don’t intend to work as a barrister in the UK, though I still need the qualification if I were to work as a lawyer back home in Borneo. I started this course last September and should be done by this Summer.
It’s been quite a roller-coaster ride, but I have to say I do quite enjoy it! I use this site as a means to escape the stress, so I really do appreciate each and every one of you popping by reading my (and Minty’s) posts and even jotting down a nice lovely comment or two. Thank you!
I don’t normally indulge in self personal posts besides the materialistic (haha) ones, but I am really quite happy today for one reason: 92%. Yep, 92% for a friggin Bar exam! It’s a big deal for me, and I just wanted to thank the big man himself for always being there.
You may not know the marking scheme for the Bar, but the marks are categorised this way with 60% being the passing mark:
- 60-69: Competent
- 70-84: Very Competent
- 85-100: Outstanding
I guess it’s because I don’t have much faith in myself, that I was really just hoping for a pass. It’s funny how God does things to say:
Look, believe in yourself.
Just the ego booster I needed. Thanks, big man.
